2018-11-12 Dog Bites and Rain

Tuesday: So guess what? Today was the first time I got bit by a dog in the mission! Woohoo!!! I was walking by a fence and we were just contacting and there was a branch in the way so I ducked down to get out of the way of it and I was maybe 1 foot away from the fence and then all of a sudden when I started to rise up, I felt something grab my skin and pull at it. Instinctively, I ripped my arm away jaja. I looked later and it was bleeding jaja it was cool but it is rule to call the medical contact so we called and I was told to go home and wash it. Now we need to go back every single day and check if the dog is alive.  If it dies within 10 days, it had rabies and that means I will have it too so hopefully not jaja.

Wednesday: We did not do much. Elder gonzalez slept the whole morning because he was sick and he called to get permission to sleep from the med contact. We later contacted in the afternoon and we found a guy named B. On his right arm, he only has 2 fingers and he had to cut it. Due to what, I have no idea but he also had a tumor in his head and they took it out. He was explaining that because of Heavenly Father, he was able to live and he said that when he had the surgery, the chances were 99% he would die, 1% he would live and I hope we can teach him! He seems great!

Thursday: We had divisiones for 1 day because the ZLs had a baptismal interview and then also other citas in the afternoon so we went with them. I went with Elder Gappmayer and we taught a family. It was a good lesson and we had a good day. I was talking with him about the plan of conversion and it was really good because looking at it now and the mission, I have grown so much and I can see myself becoming better and more converted. I can see my testimony growing in every way and it is amazing. BY small and simple things, great things come to pass.

Saturday: I went with Barrio 5 and then we had a whole bunch of service and things fall through in the morning because in the nighttime there was a giant storm with lightning and hard rain. We cooked raviolis and milanesas and then we split off again when The ZLs and my comp came back. We went back to our house in barrio 2 and we stayed there. He slept and I cleaned the house because it was dirty. Through cleaning the house, I learned to know what the true love of Christ is. I learned of the Love that the Lord has for my comp. Through the service of cleaning I was able to feel Charity so strongly. I wanted to hug him and say thank you for everything and for being my trainer. I knew that we would not have many more days proselyting or doing much together and I just felt I needed to say that to him. It was a great experience feeling that for someone even though there have been ups and downs with many things, I actually felt the love that the Lord has for him and I can only imagine how much love he has for every one of us because the worth of souls are great in the sight of God.

Sunday: It was raining and then in the night time we went to Barrio 5 again to start divisiones and stay with them because it will be Gappmayer's last P day with us. He will die in a week jaja!

Monday: Today we went to the breakfast buffet and then played ping-pong and soccer at the chapel. Then we had to run because it rained the whole day. Had to run all the way to centro and then we chilled in a museum until the cyber opened.

2018-11-05: Very busy week.

Hey guys!

Monday: So I learned a very valuable lesson. We need to talk constantly and always put things on the table. no matter what, the less time it brews, the easier it will come out. Many times when we are mad at someone we turn inwards and do not talk to them or not fix it right away but that’s the thing. We talked about it and it is Satan that is trying to make it so we don’t talk and don’t progress. It is satan that causes us to be angry and to fight because it hinders the spirit and hinders the missionary work. We all have faults and things that just push our buttons or buttons of others but we need to forgive and always talk it out because we can’t let small things fester and brew until it ends up being the end of contact or anything.

Tuesday: Today I had divisiones con Elder Francom. It was really good and we had fun in his area. We had a lot of citas and we were in a barrio se llamo "Barrio Matadero" which means " Barrio Killer" jajaja so we were there but nothing happened. It was super villa but I did not feel as if i was in danger jaja

Wednesday: Today, we had divisiones with Elder Gappmayer. I went with him to work in the morning contacting and doing missionary work. After this, we took a bus to General Pico. It is a pueblito outside of Santa Rosa and we had to do a baptismal interview with a lady who was 92 years old! jaja dang but she walked perfectly and heard perfectly and it was great.  We saw monkeys and they made this really loud growling sound, I have no idea what they were doing but it was really loud jaja and a whole bunch of stuff in Pico. They actually have really cool graffiti and I took some pics of it.

Thursday: Today was good. We went to Changomas to look at the ofertas they had. I bought a whole bunch of stuff for only 400 pesos! They had such great deals because it was their "Black Friday."

Friday: Today our washer broke. The thing was old so we called Hermana Bentley and asked for a new one. We asked someone how much to fix it and he said 4,100 pesos and he fixed it before. He said that it is normal for them to break after 1 year and we said no and we got the green light to buy a new 1 jaja. We went to Y and she said she might separate with her boyfriend (they’re living together) and we were surprised but she is so great. We tried to put a fecha or a goal just to work with her but she insisted on her goal being BAPTISM! and yeah she is great. Hopefully she can get baptized.

Saturday: Today we did nothing in the morning because we were waiting for the washer to come. We did not know what hour because the people from the company and the ZLs did not tell us jaja. We made arroz con leche en la noche.

Sunday: Not much. It rained and stormed a lot today. People thought that there was going to be piedra jaja. They call granizo piedra here. (Hail versus Rocks) jajajaja super chistoso!

Monday: We have P Day de Zona.
