Tuesday: Today was pretty standard, we
went to lunch and citas but we could not do much in the afternoon because we
had interviews with President Hymas. He interviews everyone in the zone the day
before the zone conference so it was super chill. Apparently President Hymas
has heard a lot about me and elder Taylor and he says we are doing amazing and
great things are happening in Santa Rosa!
Wednesday: Today was the zone
conference. It was really good and a lot of fun. Not much to say about it but
the Hymas’ shared about their meeting with Elder Rasband and how he said we
need to prepare ourselves and be ready to receive all the messages and things
in the upcoming conference. I hear there are a lot of changes or a lot of stuff
happening to further the work so be prepared!
Thursday: Today I had divisions with
Elder Gimenez. He is Elder Taylor’s comp and he is from Paraguay tambien (also).
Apparently there is a joke here and in Paraguay about churripán (sausage
sandwhich). So all they do is take chorizo and slap it onto a slice of bread
jaja! A lot of people do not like the chorizo here but I think it is super
good! We had churripán at the activity last Saturday and it was really good! We
visited Y. She is an antiguo or old investigator from missionaries in the past
and the descriptions are correct. Ella es una capa!!! She is super bueno. She
reads the scriptures, knows them and wants to get baptized. The only reason why
she cant be baptized is because she is not married. she wants to get married but
the husband doesn’t want to. Hopefully the Lord will soften his heart so she can be
baptized!
Friday: Today was Elder Gonzales’
birthday so we had empanadas, and I bought him a little trinket from a store.
It is from world of Warcraft and he really likes WoW so he liked it. It
was a normal day in the field.
Saturday: Today was normal but I notice
a lot of people are super mad or sad and it is because they do not have the
gospel in their lives. It is really sad because people are in poverty because
the government inflates everything and a lot of people do not work so it is
really sad. I know so many of these people can be blessed from the gospel but
they are too caught up in their personal things to accept it or listen. We
knock doors and everyone is angry and complains about the poverty but it is
really sad to see that they do not want the happiness of the gospel even though
it is so easy to just turn to the Lord for help in every aspect of life.
Sunday: Today was good. We had church and
then we went to visit P after church. We met with her and D. They have their
wedding on Monday and we will be attending!!! Super exciting. Then she has her
baptism this week Saturday!!! This is an exciting week for her and it is super
awesome to see her come unto Christ! She asked me to baptize her on Saturday so
I will have my first baptism on Saturday!!!! wooohhooooo! I am super stoked!!!!!
Beautiful Santa Rosa
One thing is clear, I'm not starving.
